The CIP cleaning system is composed of alkali tanks, acid tanks, hot water tanks, clear water tanks, back water tanks, disinfecting water tanks, concentrated acid tanks, concentrated alkali tanks, heat exchangers, CIP processing pumps, as well as relevant pipes, valves and electric control system. These tanks can be allocated according to technological requirements of customers. Generally, the cleaning requirements can be met with only three tanks (alkali tanks, acid tanks and hot water tanks).

Features of CIP system:
The acid & alkali tanks adopt PU foam or rock wool-based materials for heat preservation to decrease heat loss. Heat exchangers with external heating tubes or plates are adopted to get a high efficiency for heat exchange.
Raw materials saving
Depending on the return status of cleaning solution, the back-flow or discharged will be selected automatically so as to recycle usable cleaning solution to the maximum extent. Water recycle tank is allocated to recycle cleaning water in the last process each time, which will be used as cleaning water in the first process for the next time; thus, water consumption is saved.
Safe and reliable operation
By adopting the exterior heating (circulating) method, the preparation for concentrated acid & alkali solution can be made in the specific tank on the ground, with liquid level auto-control unit as well as overflow protection device installed in the tank which can avoid overflow of cleaning solution; and a dedicated outlet design is provided to avoid blockage in the pipeline resulting from crystallization of cleaning solution; and an alternative manually-controlled system is available for each auto-control system.
Except that the preparation for concentrated acid & alkali solution and switching of CIP process distributor are made by the operator at each shift, other jobs may be auto-controlled & manually monitored; the touch monitor is provided to display clearly the flow chart and all system parameters for CIP cleaning station, and to modify the parameters easily as per cleaning process.
Automatic control items
The concentration of cleaning solution in the tank is automatically monitored and the concentrated cleaning solution is automatically refilled.
The level of cleaning solution in the tank is automatically monitored and water is automatically refilled.
The concentration of return cleaning solution is automatically detected and return to target washing tank or discharge is automatically selected.
The temperature of liquid at outlet is automatically controlled, provided with emergent manually operated circulating heat system.
The sequence of liquid at outlet is automatically controlled (water-alkali-water, or water-alkali-alkali-acid-water).
The cleaning station may be added by cleaning solution and the types of washing tanks as per the demand for process and devices; this full-automatic CIP station may be programmed with cleaning distributors or auto-control valve interface within each production system to form a complete set of full-automatic washing system for production lines.
To reduce the cost and lay a foundation for the upgrading into the full-automatic system at a later stage, the auto-control items may be increased or decreased on a flexible basis according to customer requirements; and an alternative station with lower cost, which is monitored under automatic remote control and operated manually, is also provided.

There are four heating modes for the above CIP cleaning stations: plate type heater, tubular heater, coil type heater and steam straight-through heating. One loop till eight loops or more can be designed according to technological requirements of customers.
